Altar of Oblivion - Sinews of Anguish [2009]
Luca Turilli Like gender, I do not dislike, but I have reservations for various and many bands. But it is obvious that there are great bands, and I can not deny that and I call myself a big fan of them, to name a few: Helloween, Hammerfall, Primal Fear, Gamma Ray Gods, Andre Matos [Angra Although I never liked, but his work as solo is great], Blind Guardian, Iron Savior, Kamelot, Opera Magna, Stratovarius and the list goes on. Although not as long as when I can refer to Heavy Metal, Hard Rock or the same Thrash Metal. Also mention my favorite band of Power Metal, Rhapsody, according to my taste, are the gods, thereby achieving an enviable mix of genre, being a big fan of them is that I realize that one of the great minds behind this great Banda, is nothing less and nothing more than Luca Turilli. And that is evident in his solo works. Pleasing voters in the survey,'ll post a few records of Power Metal, sure to be the bands that I really like, by the fact that I do not collect anything I do not like it, with this you can be sure that bands are of high quality. In this genre try to be very demanding, for any reason before I comment. Having made a
Enter my point of view towards this good Genero, there is more to talk about hard Turilli and bring them this time: King Of The Nordic Twilight Talk

Luca Turilli is alluding to a legend, which from my point revolutionized the way to Power Metal. A prodigious mind, a guy with his talent at times unimaginable, proof of which is Rhapsody, his solo project called Luca Turilli, plus a unique project called Luca Turilli's Dreamquest. As we can see, his name is synonymous with Symphonic Power Metal. A great composer. Is a person of great and vast knowledge of theory and composition. That does not mean his music is without emotion or robotic-made, as often happens in many bands of the genre. Unlike his songs are dripping with feeling, emotion and intelligence, and Turilli is easy to see that a true artist who loves music and the fantasy epic. King Of The Nordic Twilight was released in 1999, a year after launch the majestic Rhapsody Symphony Of Enchanted Lands. If I ask the question, how the album sounds, it really keeps the same line of Rhapsody, with variations of course, I mean that is less operatic, his music is fast and melodic, rarely dissonant and a standard mixture complex and simple rhythms.
The keyboard, guitar work and the little orchestra [in Rhapsody is very marked, not so much here] come together in enviable harmony, even creating melodies fill the listener with joy and wonder. instrumentation and the vocals are almost entirely diatonic and there are few discordant notes, or even mediocre throughout the album, however Turilli manages to keep the music fresh and original, while many other Power Metal bands doing their sound as if they were bound by a form, is what I referred in my introduction. As usual with Sasha Paeth and Miro, the production is excellent, allowing us to hear every instrument perfectly and bring out the full expression of the band. And as always, Luca Turilli, all instruments are played with precision and skill. The Vocalization runs
by Olaf Hayer, which can be described in one word: POWERFUL. But the powerful are thinking. His singing style is neither hard nor secondary, but it's beautiful and melodic at the same time. Comparisons can be made with Daniel Heiman of Lost Horizon, and with the same Fabio Lione in the Dawn of Victory. Turilli certainly has a knack for choosing Vocalists. keyboardist Michael "Miro" Rodenburg does a fantastic job filling the air between the instruments, and even has a few memorable solos, but not quite amazing counterpoint to the Orchestra, and the classics and hot keyboard solos from Alex Staropoli Rhapsody, but his style is good taste and smell much when listening disk.

Being the only composer of the music and lyrics, something he shares in Rhapsody mostly with Fabio Staropoli and the same, now it has become more daring, more outrageous, and yes, more vulgar than ever. From the album cover, a picture of a mighty warrior with a giant sword made of flames and a dark view of a castle below and above the cosmos, being able to realize that the album is pure Turilli.

The album begins with

To Magic Horizons, a brief introduction to using the orchestra and chorus, composed so that it serves as a direct introduction to Black Dragon

, the second song: Speed Metal, fast riffs, the keyboards tail, and a powerful vocal performance by Olaf Hayer furious make the song a great opener for the board. After a long pause, the second song begins with a stunning flute duet becomes a glorious melody with violins and backed by guitar, bass, choir and percussion work in unison.

18 To Enter Clubs In Nj
Legend Of Steel my favorite song on the album, a track that stands out for its lively vocals and uplifting style Vivaldi Violin, a superb bass and then break your neck with the double drum.
Rannveig is sung by Sif Sigurdardottir, a soprano singer who has appeared on albums by Kamelot, After Forever, and Shaman to name a few.
Rannveig is sung by Sif Sigurdardottir, a soprano singer who has appeared on albums by Kamelot, After Forever, and Shaman to name a few. The second ballad, Warrior's Pride is a beautiful piece using full orchestra and a powerful and heartfelt performance of Olaf Hayer, shows that do not have to rely on the power and shows his vocal range. The rest of the album is a whole range of immaculately composed and orchestrated with Full Power Metal songs from the catchy and feverish The Ancient Forest of Elves , the epic (by definition) King of the Nordic Twilight.

Now, Luca Turilli has never been known for his lyrical dexterity in the English world. The Italian-speaking songwriter has even been mocked for its mix of fantasy themes hilarious and laughable diction. But it is undeniable that it is a great storyteller. Each song on the album is a myth or a legend written by Turilli and although it can not be involved in carrying grace of a poet reading, these stories are worthwhile, and the music fits perfectly.

Doing a bit of the True Symphonic Rockestra History begins in 1997 when Dirk Ulrich was producing the album of a band and it came up with the idea of recording some parts with a pair of opera singers. Because of this, Ulrich had the idea of recording of the original repertoire of the Three Tenors [Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras], a way of paying tribute and merged with the Rock Opera.
After nearly two years, Ulrich began to discuss the project with Jens Olaf Mayland, aka Paul, who plays the drums as well as some other instruments, and had already been his companion in other projects. He also spoke with Sandro MartÃnez, professor of guitar, and Marvin Philippi, Bassist. This formed the basis of the TSR.

He also spoke with Sandro MartÃnez, professor of guitar, and Marvin Philippi, Bassist. This formed the basis of the TSR. When delivered the first demo to record companies, the idea was not well received, nor for members of the rock community and metal [Closed Mind]. For this reason decided to work independently.
string arrangements were made by a young violinist named Christoph Wansleben, who began studying classical arrangements with Sandro. Later, TSR was ready sound.
mention a few pieces included on this album titled "Concerto In True Minor" are "Nessun Dorma "," Tonight [West Side Story], "" O Sole Mio "and" Cielito Lindo. "
Later, when thinking of potential interpreters of the pieces, all agreed that the ideal vocalist for the record was James Labrie of Dream Theater [Banda HATE, hahaha, already is the second time I say it, but as exteriorization my admiration, I can not mention my disdain for such a ridiculous and repetitive band, a living insult to Metal]
After suffering
setbacks and roadblocks from the label and the Management of Dream Theater, finally, through various accidents of fate, James answered a mail with their contact numbers, stating that if the True Symphonic Music Rockestra liked, could have any collaboration. Having
free letter Elektra Records, the label of James, began looking for a pair of players who were missing. The owner of a classical music record label made them see that the project could benefit from singers who really devoted to opera, so it made contact with Thomas Dewald, tenor critically acclaimed German, who confirmed that it would participate in the project.
The last of the TSR was invited to tenors Vladimir Grishko, Cultural Minister of Ukraine and star of the opera world. Grishko has performed at the Metropolitan Opera in New York for six consecutive years winning the award for best tenor Pavarotti in 2005.
this time, already had a financial partner that was willing to give full support to the project. This partner is Igor Marin, owner of Russian classical music label Marinsound. Finally, the album was released in a co-production and Brainworx Marinsound, who joined forces to establish a common seal. The first band released on the label was True Symphonic Rockestra.
