Summary
Considered by many to be the characteristic disorder of the XXI century, in recent decades, stress has become an object of attention by an increasing number of instances - media institutions educational, business, government and general public. The feeling of being "overwhelmed" is manifested in almost all areas of life, each of which has a history, characteristics and particular consequences. This paper focuses on one of these areas: labor. Based on a review of the presence of such stress in our society, epidemiology, estimated consequences on people and companies, "discusses the key factors involved in the development and maintenance of the problem, and explains the basic working on prevention, detection and eradication.

Abstract
Considered by many as the most characteristic disorder of the 21st century, in the last decades the stress has received a growing attention from an increasing range of instances: mass media, educational institutions, business corporations, authorities and citizens in general. This “overflow” feeling appears in the majority of aspects of the person’s life, in each one with peculiar antecedents, characteristics and consequences. This paper reviews one of these aspects, referred as work stress. We start with a review of the presence of this type of stress in our society –epidemiology, estimated consequences on persons and companies. The fundamental Factors That Are Involved in the onset and maintenance of the problem Are Then commented, as well as the main lines That Work in STI prevention, detection and eradication.Key words: stress, epidemiology, work accidents, prevention.
